Mia!!!!

This adorable little bit showed up at our house Sunday when we got home from church. She is the sweetest little thing. We have put out signs and called the shelters but no one is looking for her. I assume she was dumped, as we get a lot of dumped dogs around our neighborhood. Small town, family neighborhood, of course someone will pick it up! Well, we did. I am getting really attached to her. How can you not, look at her! She is so cute and such a good little girl. We named her Mia. Lee even thinks she is "cool," which says a lot since he is not a small dog person. But, Macy is our baby and I think she feels a little jealous b/c she so badly wants to be a 5 pound lap dog like Mia but she is just too big. So every time Mia jumps in our laps, Macy just stares at us with those sweet puppy dog eyes like she is thinking "that should be ME." So in all fairness to my Macy May, we have decided that if she is still not claimed by Wednesday, my grandma Enid will adopt her. This little girl has no idea how lucky she is to get to go to such a great home. My grandma will be home all day to love on her and spoil her rotten with biscotti for breakfast and a lap to cuddle in all day!

News!

Well, no news as to what we are having :(, but we have a due date!!!!

December 16th is our official date.

Its my dad's birthday too! I haven't even had a chance to tell him yet since he is at work, but I know he will be excited. So I am guessing in the next few weeks, I will be begging Lee to take me up to his clinic and do a sono so we can find out what we are having. I will tell you that I predict a very active child. The kid didn't stop moving the entire sonogram. It was all over the place. One cute picture the lady took (see below) looks like the baby is praying. I am thinking it is telling me to start praying since it is going to be my wild child. I attached a few pics from the sono, but we didn't get any really good ones this time. :(

Sono tomorrow!

I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow so MAYBE we will find out what we are having. If it is a boy, we would most likely be able to tell. Girls are more difficult to tell b/c at this stage, you have to have a perfect angle to determine the parts and any of you with experiences with sonograms know that that usually never happens when you want it to. I am really 50/50 on this one. It could be either and I won't be surprised. Lee's guess is girl. We have a boy name picked out for sure, but we keep debating between 2, sometimes 3 girl names. If it is a girl, I have a lot of sewing projects planned. :) Sewing for boys just isn't as exciting. Speaking of sewing, here is a cute dress that I made for our friend's little girl, Gaby. She just turned 1 a few weeks ago. I have made a few others too and have been making a lot of diaper pouches lately. Really cute ones!!! My plan for a girl is to learn how to make bitty booties (follow link below). They are sooooo adorable! I will post the blog if we get any news tomorrow. Say a little prayer for us!

All is well

Anderson had surgery today to get ear tubes. Everything went great. He was pretty good (just tired since we woke up at 5 AM!). Before surgery in the pre-op room, they gave him some Vercet, a drug to help him "relax." Anderson acted like he was drunk. He kept laughing and clapping his hands. And then he would spin his head around like he was dizzy. It was pretty funny. When we met him in the post-op room, literally 15 minutes after they took him back (it was sooooo fast) he was really mad and disoriented. He screamed until we got to the peds floor and while I was walking him around the halls to try and get him to calm down, he spotted a toy car that he could ride in. Like a light switch, the crying stopped and he reached for the car and said "mah" which is his word for "I want it." So I put him in it and he was a happy boy the rest of the time. He slept a lot today and has been fussier than usual, so we are hoping to get our Mr. Happy back tomorrow.

This is Anderson in his car. Bad pic quality b/c I took this on my phone.

A new look!

My friend Hollie showed me a site where you can choose new layouts for your blog. FREE! For anyone interested, it is www.matiekay.blogspot.com.

We also added a boy or girl poll to the blog. :)

We are having a lazy Sunday. Went to church, ate some lunch, came home and took naps and now we are getting ready to go to the grocery store. I love days like this!
