SNOW!! Yes, at the end of March!

Anderson's first snow came this weekend. We bundled him up and went outside with him to play in the snow and can you guess what he wanted to do? Yep, play basketball. Seriously, all this snow and the kid wants to shoot hoops. We eventually coaxed him into a sled ride and snowball fight and even got a snowman built.

this was the lake behind our house. it was so beautiful with the ice and since it was still warm out, the lake was not melted. i am not usually a scenery person, but even i was blown away by how pretty it was.

Adri loves sitting in her bumbo seat so she can get in on all of Anderson's action and the things going on during the day (the ceiling and floor get old i am sure). Yesterday, bless her little heart, she fell asleep sitting in it.

week in reveiw

WOW! I just got back from being in Topeka with family for a week. It was a great stay. I always love going to Topeka. Its just nice to be by our families. I hope so much that we can move there this summer. :) Here are a few pics from the highlights of the week. Gma's funeral was Saturday. It was very nice. Then we celebrated March and April bdays and Larry's retirement with the Leinwetterson Sunday. The week ended with a girls shopping trip to KC and a last minute visit with some dear old friends. I was ready to be back home and be with Lee, but I would be lying if I said I wanted to go home. I love being in Topeka. Just wish my hubby could be there too!

Bath time. Quack! Quack!

The anderson girls and grand-girl, went for a shopping trip in KC last week. It was fun to hang out just us girls. On our way home, our dear friends and old next door neighbors from St. Louis called and were in Lawrence, KS (just 30 minutes away and right on our way home!) so we met up for ice cream and a quick visit. It was so good to see them. This is my sis, out friend Jodi and me.

Grandma E and baby Tessa at our birthday party last Sunday.

blowing out the candles. Anderson blew and blew but just couldn't get one blown out.

Uh Oh! Another basketball lover.

After grandma's funeral. It was an emotional service, but a beautiful tribute to her life.

Anderson in his suit. He was such a little ham!

cute kid pics

how a princess sleeps...

Adrianna is in to grabbing anything and everything she can get her hands on and sucking on it. Last night she was talking and laughing (more like squealing) with her toys on the baby gym.

must eat elephant!

These are my balls!

playin in my ball pit (its been 1 month and he STILL loves this thing!) We've also taken a liking to putting anything and everything possible on our head. Buddy is his favorite so far. Other front runners would be dad's shoes, macy (hasn't worked out so well), adri's bumbo seat, and cups.

saying "cheese" (and eating cheese) at mimi and poppy's

a sad goodbye

Yesterday morning my beloved grandma Enid peacefully passed away while at home surrounded by family. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer several months ago and has been under hospice care since then. Last week I took the kids over to see her and she was overjoyed to watch Anderson run around and play ball and wanted to hold Adrianna as much as possible (which thankfully was a lot!). I am so thankful for that day and that final memory of her. She just smiled and talked the whole time we were there. :)

this was gma exactly 1 year ago taking anderson to the library. this was one of her mosr favorite things to do!
